Tastelife - Brand new course in January

Updated: Mar 18, 2020

Hi all. Just wanted to tell you a bit about Tastelife!  Tastelife is a Christian organisation which was set up by Di and Jean, two Christian ladies who had daughters who had struggled with eating disorders, in response to the real lack of help available on the NHS.

The tastelife course is a 9 week course for people who struggle with eating difficulties, including (but not limited to) anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder, as well as for their family and carers.

Drawing on medically recognised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy techniques and fully accredited by the University of Brighton, it aims to give people a toolkit of resources to begin to challenge the thoughts and feelings they have around food, and develop a healthier relationship with food and a better quality of life.

Whilst based on Christian principles, the course actively welcomes people of all faiths and none, and does not impose Christian beliefs on group members.

Our exciting new course starts on Saturday 19th January at 10:30-12:30 at the Riverside Centre, and there are still places available; please spread the word and advertise this course all around Ashford and further beyond.

We would really appreciate your prayer as we begin this new ministry, we are so excited to be reaching out to the broken and helping them on a road to freedom.

The 9 week course covers:

1. Living to eat or eating to live 2. Mirror, mirror: self-image and addiction 3. Under the iceberg: emotions 4. Mind matters 5. Bad days and good friends 6. Caring beyond survival 7. The 'F' word: food - friend or foe? 8. Where now?
