Our Gateway youth have been attending Newday for over 12 years, initially starting with 2 youth and 1 leader. This year, we will be taking over 35 youth and 10 leaders/caterers! God is good!
Every year Gateway church invests both financially, and also in manpower. The setup team goes ahead of the group to put up 3 marquees, tents and all the odds and ends. Others stay throughout as leaders and caterers. We are blessed to have an abundance of servant-hearted people!
I joined Gateway church in January 2011, and went to Newday in August, feeling very jet-lagged after a 3 month visit to the USA. I’ve never slept as well as I did that first night of camping. But boy was it worth it! - as I had never been to a youth festival like it.
There were so many meaningful moments and Holy Spirit-inspired revelations, that no one, including me, could leave the week unchanged.
