Small Groups

Our small groups are the beating heart of the church - a context for all of us to get to know one another better while learning about Jesus and what it means to follow Him beyond the Sunday meeting.

Small groups meet in homes in and around Ashford each week to study the Bible, worship, pray and develop really meaningful friendships - but that is only the beginning...

We are inspired to be a community of people who take care of each other in real and practical ways when needs arise. Being in a Small Group ensures this can happen quickly. The bible calls it ‘one anothering’ and it really works!

We take seriously the challenge of training and equipping. Most weeks we use sermon based discussion group notes that help us outwork what has been taught or preached the previous Sunday. This gives us a real chance to take each new step of growth at a time. It also provides a context for people to pray with each other, drawing upon the gifts of the Holy Spirit to encourage and strengthen one another.

We want Gateway Church to get smaller and stickier as we get bigger! We find that being part of a Small Group ‘Velcro’s’ us together so no one need be lonely in a growing crowd. If you would like to join a Small Group please email our office for more information.

Help us to help others by donating your unwanted furniture, household items and baby equipment.
