What is Multiplex at Gateway?
Rather than having one Sunday Meeting topic to listen to, Multiplex offers three. Basically multiple choice of a chosen preaching theme, in three different locations within the building.
Why are we pioneering this new initiative?
Because it enables more people to have the opportunity to be trained and equipped; it builds into us a growing flexibility to be ready for church planting and further expansion... and it's more interesting!
What is the format of a Sunday Multiplex meeting?
Part way through the morning meeting we will have a 5 minute break to allow the children to go to their groups and for the youth and adults to choose the venue on-site for the topic they would like to hear. After the talks have concluded and the children collected from their groups, we head off to the Gateway cafe for drinks and a chance to relax and chat together.
Multiplex meetings were successfully piloted at Gateway Church Ashford in April 2011 and now form a regular bi-monthly pattern to our Sunday Morning meetings. If you've not enjoyed this new Sunday morning format yet, come along and share with us as we prepare for church planting in Kent and Europe!
